Everton
is entering a crucial part of its long-term future. As a lifelong ‘legacy fan’
Evertonian and passionate fan of the game, I think it’s vital that the Club and
the game truly understand and look after its fans - fans who live, breath and
carry joys and stresses every day. Fans that go to the game, and fans from L4
to Lombok!
Alan
Ball was my reason for becoming an Evertonian. My absolute pride and joy, an
amber shirt with a blue ‘8’ sewn on.
I
am applying for the FSA rep position because I passionately want to represent
the brilliant EFC fan base that has particularly risen to the huge challenges
in recent seasons.
For
OUR game, I believe true fan engagement and representation is one of the core
issues going forward and an area that can, and has to be, much better.
I
bring significant business experience having been an MD in Asia for 11 years
and worked in US/Europe, always, of course, using the opportunity to convert
people to the EFC cause! My specific business expertise is understanding people
through research, and I have done specific research work on fan engagement of
Premier League clubs in recent years. Everyone (other than my wife) describes
me as a good listener, collaborative, open and transparent – all key in any
role, but particularly in this one.
Everton
is a truly special club and Evertonians, like Bally, are passionate to the
core. I am excited and would love the opportunity to reflect that passion in
the FSA role and work with the Fan Advisory Board to ensure we truly represent
and communicate fully with the people that really make this club.
We have seen the power of what we have when we are as one.
